About the Position:
EntreNous Youth Empowerment Services seeks a full-time, grant-funded Case Manager/Job Developer to provide resources, training, and transition services to participants ages 16-29. Reporting directly to the Chief Programs Officer, the Case Manager/Job Developer helps achieve the goals of our grant-funded programs by developing plans and operations that align with contract and budget guidelines. This includes overseeing resources, coordinating community partners, and conducting ongoing outreach to serve participants and leverage EntreNous and community assets. The Case Manager/Job Developer will handle all aspects of participant transition services.
The ideal candidate has a sincere desire to help young people succeed, build self-confidence, and develop leadership skills, along with familiarity with the challenges facing youth from low-income communities.
Essential Functions:
To succeed in this role, the Case Manager/Job Developer must understand evidence-informed and evidence-based care management strategies, including crisis management, motivational interviewing, and cognitive behavioral interventions. They must also understand the supportive services needed for job development and transition planning.
Assessment & Case Management:
- Conduct intake assessments, evaluate participant needs and strengths, obtain enrollment consents, and develop individualized care plans.
- Provide continuous case management and transition services, connecting participants to specialized systems of care and community resources (housing, medical/dental, financial assistance, legal aid, and childcare).
- Maintain accurate participant files and data tracking in compliance with agency, grant, and privacy requirements.
Workforce Development & Career Coaching:
- Facilitate industry-specific career preparation, including mock interviews, guest speaker sessions, and job readiness workshops for the Construction and Hospitality/Culinary sectors.
- Provide basic financial coaching to participants during and after the program.
- Track, document, and report on participant and alumni placements, retention, and progress for at least one year after program completion.
Partnership & Relationship Building:
- Build and sustain strategic partnerships with businesses, government agencies, trade organizations, and post-secondary institutions to secure meaningful placements (full-time employment, apprenticeships, higher education).
- Collaborate with community partners on recruitment, service delivery, and resource sharing.
- Attend community events, networking functions, and conferences, including occasional weekends, to recruit participants and partners.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Program Support:
- Consult regularly with the Workforce Development Coordinator and other departments to maintain high service standards and meet participant needs.
- Participate in administrative, leadership, community outreach, and funding activities.
- Prepare required reports, presentations, and correspondence.
- Manage competing priorities and use sound judgment in problem-solving and decision-making.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Required:
- College degree in a related field (Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, etc.) or equivalent experience.
- Three years of full-time paid experience in an organizational setting related to youth and young adult development (TAY, at-risk youth, system-impacted youth/adults), such as teaching, counseling, case management, job development, youth services, or healthy relationships programming.
- Experience working with youth and young adults ages 16-29 from low-income, diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to handle crisis and emergency situations.
- Ability to prioritize responsibilities and organize thoughts.
- Proficiency in Google Suite.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with participants, staff, management, and community partners.
- A sincere desire to help people succeed, build self-confidence, and develop leadership skills, along with familiarity with the challenges facing youth from low-income communities.
- Motivated to learn, self-starting, trainable, and an excellent role model.
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, adequate insurance, and a good driving record (DMV printout).
- Ability to pass a criminal background check.
- TB test within the last 4 years.
Preferred:
- Previous experience in a nonprofit setting (strongly preferred).
- CPR/First Aid certification.
- California Mandated Reporter certification.
- Spanish language skills.
